Overview
Conversation Starters help you spark interaction the moment a visitor opens the chat bubble or dialogue screen. These are predefined prompts or links that users can click to immediately start a relevant conversation with your AI assistant.
This is especially useful if your visitors don’t know where to begin, or if you want to drive attention to certain content like newsletters, blog posts, or promotional events.
Where Are They Shown?
Conversation Starters can be displayed in two key areas:

Start Screen of the Chat Bubble – Shown before a conversation begins

Within the Conversation Interface – Shown while chatting (in both the Chat bubble and dialogue screen)
Dialogue:
You can configure each set independently.
How to Configure
To add or edit Conversation Starters:

Go to
Settings > Inboxes > Widget Builder -
Choose the view: Home (start screen) or Conversation

Click Add Starter

Enter:
-
Text: The prompt or message users will click

Optional URL: Link to external content (e.g., your blog, a form, an event page)

Image Preview: Automatically shown if available on the page

Click Update Widget Settings to apply changes
You can add multiple starters for each view:

Keep your starters short and actionable

Use them to highlight time-sensitive actions (e.g., “Book Your Tour”, “See Menu”)

Update regularly to reflect your campaigns or seasonal offers
